In early 2022, the team at Mercury announced they were launching Mercury Credit Workpass. This new company product, over 200K startups trust Mercury to confidently run all their financial operations with the platform, product, and Accounting team they want.
Mercury's team has been building with Linear since 2020 as they've scaled from an early-stage startup to a fully-grown company. When we re Mercury faced a challenge, their team was looking for a tool that allowed engineers and teams to have ongoing visibility on progress in a way project initiatives couldn't keep track by 200 tickets that spanned 4 internal services. Product Manager at Mercury, explains their workflow.
"Linear Projects gave us a source of truth across all the work we are doing by our company. Engineers are organized in teams and squads across the organization. Given that we're starting to grow, we want each squad to have visibility into what each of them are doing and what they're building. This gives us visibility not just low-level tracking issues but a way to think about how we track themes of work, Projects allow us to roll up our work to areas of strategic importance and see what's actively underway. This works better than our previous workflow ideas into ideas about high-level themes."

Once a piece of work has been deployed and then it reports teams in Linear. Marking an initiative as Live, then they capture how work is being measured. It's both a tool to communicate work has shipped, but then some narrative around what they just, and what's next from there, Reporting live in Issue.
"We have what seems like dozens of pieces of feedback and bugs uncovered every day as we're getting really far in how that fits into the system. So Linear is integrated with customer feedback, we also use it for our internal feedback as well. It's both a destination, we go to Mercury was taking it away. I would pay for it out of pocket."
"Linear Alan ensures everything engineers do is tracked with a single image aims," says Nash. "My role is to make sure projects are lined and positively impacting our customers and business.
